  3. BPS certification course: In addition to 100hrs microblading training you need to take another certification Blood borne Pathogens Standard course that follows OSHA’s standard. This course fee is only $25. You finish this course you get a BPS certificate. If you cannot take the course in person you can do that on internet training.
  4. Sign up for AAM or SPCP test examination: Upcoming tests are listed in the boards official website. Both organizations charge $250 as exam fee.. AAM sells their form through their online shop while SPCP through informational PDF. Before sitting to test you will be asked to submit photo ID, Membership, BPS certificate and micro blade training proof.
  5. Provide proof of insurance: Since part of exam is practical the technicians insurance is required. and you need to show practical work on clients for 5eyebrows, 5eye liners and 5lips. If you are located you are located in New Jersy, Nevada, Maine or Massachusetts you are relaxed to 2 eyebrow, 2 eye liner and 2 lips only.
  6. Pass your certification test:

    The SPCP exam is composed nearly 100 questions from infection control, disease and disorder, pigmetalogy, anatomy technical applications, regulation and documentation etc.

    AAM has set up exam in 3 section as written, oral and practical covering the same syllabus of SPCP.In order to prepare yourself before sitting in exam you can follow the study guides and sample test from online stores.

Becoming a microblading technician:

  • Acquire a license from the health department: In order to work as a legal technician you need to acquire a license from local health department. The license will cover cosmetology , tattooing and permanent make up. To get the license apply to the concerned department. First of all you must be sure of your personal hygiene and equipment.
  • Meet national cosmetic regulation standard: Whether you are practicing with a license or not FDA is strict to keep face the consumers. These are available in boards official website.
